My Project

Every day I work with 9-11 groups of students to help them with their reading. Every day we practice our phonics sounds, sound out letters and words, read and write words in isolation so we can eventually use all our skills to begin to read.

Writing is an important part of this process.

To do this we use traditional pencil and paper or white boards. White boards come with their setbacks. They make our table black with marker dust. The erasers and markers wear out so they have to be reordered every year. Eventually the white boards themselves wear out due to scratches. If I had the writing tablets, that would eliminate all these problems and last much longer. Plus, give the students a fun way to show off all their reading and writing skills!
