Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are predominantly Hispanic and African American. I have a classroom full of energetic six year olds who are ready to learn. No matter my students' background we are one when we are in my classroom. My students are buzzing little first graders. They are in the beginning stages of writing and reading. I am here to facilitate active learning in an enriching environment. I hope to see them shine and grow as we continue to learn together. They will appreciate everything that is donated to our classroom.

My Project

These materials will help my students and I be organized. We will be able to enhance our use of flexible seating inside of the classroom. My students will be able to sit anywhere around the room. The clipboards will be support for their work. We will be able to use the whiteboard to display examples of what we are learning. For example, more student work will be displayed. If a student has visuals of their classmates abilities everyone will receive a confidence booster. In addition, the students can place their work in the cart. This will help my buzzing classroom run more smoothly. Thank you for helping out the First Grade Bee Hive.
