This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am excited to share my proposal for a project aimed at enhancing my students' understanding of the fascinating life cycle of butterflies.

I am seeking support to acquire live butterfly kits, which will allow students to observe the transformation of caterpillars into butterflies in real-time.

This hands-on experience fosters careful observation and encourages a deeper appreciation for nature.

In addition to the live kits, I am also requesting an informative book that details the butterfly life cycle, as well as a modeling kit to visually illustrate the stages of development. These resources will help reinforce students’ learning and provide multiple avenues for engagement, ensuring that each child can connect with the material in a meaningful way.

This year, I am working part-time in both a 2nd grade class and a 3rd grade class, allowing me to reach a diverse group of young learners. With your generous support, we can create an enriching educational experience that sparks curiosity and inspires a love for science in my students.
