My Project

For this project, my students will be able to observe the life cycle of a caterpillar. They will get to witness firsthand the way the caterpillars will act and behave, build their cocoons, and transform into beautiful butterflies. With the materials in this project, we will learn about the life cycle of a caterpillar and butterfly, learn about each of them specifically, read books about them, look at and recreate diagrams of them, and watch them with an up close and personal experience. Once the butterflies have hatched, we will safely release them into the garden at our school.
