Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are passionate about learning and are always enthusiastic during remote instruction. Hands on experiences keep them motivated during these challenging times. I am very grateful to see them every day expand their knowledge and their love for school activities.

My Project

Every year in our classrooms, our PreK students get to experience the life cycle of a butterfly. When we went remote learning in March, our students saw the butterfly metamorphosis online only and they didn't get to see and experience all the changes themselves.

When students get the chance to have in front of them the caterpillars, they will observe and analyze how they look, how they move, what they eat and students will use the book to learn more about them.

We will guide their observations and will help them draw conclusions based on real experience and information from the book.
