Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Sensory items and fidget toys are used by my students to be calm and stay focused. My special needs students love animals, so the butterfly environment is a great way to learn about insect life cycles by closely observing the caterpillars, pupa and emerging adult butterflies.

Students will be able to see caterpillars creeping slowly through the insect environment.

Fast moving butterflies will show students the different phases of the insect’s life while engaging them in the lessons. Students will be fascinated and intrigued by the phases from caterpillars to pupa, to the emerging adult butterflies. Fidgets toys will keep hands and fingers busy while students watch these beautiful little creatures.
