My Project

We have a business club at CES and our 4th and 5th grade students learn how to create a business from start to finish. They plan the type of business they want, materials needed, projected costs and profit, and the market they will be selling to. They then create their items, typically with a partner or team of students. We then have a school wide business fair, where the entrepreneurs sell their products. The profits made at the fair go towards materials for the business fair the following year.

I will explain below how the items in this project will allow students to create a variety of businesses and be more creative in the items they can sell.

Cricut 3 and Scan n Cut- Both of these machines will allow students to create products such as t-shirts, mugs, tote bags, stickers and magnets. The cart organizer will allow students to organize the vinyl and materials used.

The Heat Press will allow students to press designs on fabric in order to make t-shirts, sweatshirts, and tote bags.

The MacBook Air will be used to download apps from the Circut and Scan n Cut and send designs to the machine. The MacBook Air will also be used to create labels for products, and give students the capability to search for new business ideas.

The iPads and pens will be used for designing graphics or words that can be used as the template for vinyl print outs for clothing, mugs, totes or can be used to design stickers/magnets.
