My Project

We are building a space to create products to support our students as they become small business owners. The supplies and tools will be readily available for our young entrepreneurs to create all that they can imagine. This newly created space will include tools like sewing machines, wood working materials, cameras, and printers so that each student can create new products to sell. We envision our students will create fabric fashion accessories, wood working projects like bird houses, and even a photography business. But the creativity our students is endless, so we can not only imagine all they will create in this space. A printer will be used to print student designed t-shirt transfers, business cards and labels to create a professional appearance to their products and businesses. Creating taps into a part of the brain that is so imperative to being a whole, well-rounded person, but it can also be messy! A vacuum will help us tidy up our work space after the creating is complete!

When products are finished and our business plans are developed, our students will sell their products at our annual business fair.

The fair is open to the entire school community, including students, staff, guardians, family members and neighborhood community members. The students learn all the skills they need to be successful and ethical business leaders. They are encouraged to continue their businesses after the annual fair is complete.
