We have a thriving business club at CES. Students learn how to create a business from start to finish and learn financial literacy skills. The cumulating activity is the business fair, where students sell their products to the school community. The money made at the fair goes back into the business club to buy materials for the following year as well as towards a final celebration ceremony for students in the business club. At the ceremony, we have fun activities planned for students as well as prizes given for businesses with the most profit, creativity, and perseverance.
The items included will enable students to choose from a wide array of businesses and create an innovative space for them to design and build:
The vinyl rolls and sheets, t-shirt guides, LED tracer, felt, and muslin will allow students to create clothing, tote bags, and murals.
The tools will allow students to create an array of products such as birdhouses, wooden trucks and cars, and other wood working items.
The garden tools will be used for students to grow flowers and herbs from seedlings and sell them.
The paper cutter will be used to cut card stock for playing cards, games cards, and business cards.
The backdrop stand, backdrops, mat cutter and blades will allow students to create a photoshoot and then frame the pictures they take.
The pens, white boards, markers, will be used to design their business ideas.
We have added magnet fidgets, legos, colored bins, and a fun clock to create a creative design space for students. Legos help students with engineering/building and creativity. Fidgets allow students to relax and with that, their brains are able to be more creative.
The footballs, flags, basketball game, and pump are for the activities at the ending celebration ceremony.
