My Students

I currently have 18 students in my special education (ESE) class. My students are special needs students and have a love for technology, reading, math and science. They are very excited about learning and I want to keep them excited about learning by providing them with books they'll enjoy reading independently, to each other, or just picture reading. The students in my classroom are a diverse group of children who come from intricate family backgrounds. I teach at a low-income school, and I'm in a classroom full of eager learners who are enthusiastic about coming to school every day!

My Project

My students are learning how to read and love going to the media center to check out books, but they never get to finish reading the books because they have to check them back in for other students to check out. Having books readily available in the class for students to read would mean a lot to them. They don't have to rush to finish. They can sit back in their bouncy chairs read to each other, read independently, or to the stuff animals to help improve their reading skills.
