My Project

I teach students grade K-5 in a self-contained special education classroom, who struggle with behaviors. I use a lot of different incentives, throughout the days, weeks and months. I currently have a weekly incentive that is focused around appropriate behaviors.

Students with a weekly appropriate behavior average of 80% or more are eligible for this incentive.

Each Friday behavior averages are analyzed and students with 80% or more participate in a "Friday Special." This is a planned special activity used to celebrate the positive behaviors each week. I am running out of ideas that don't cost me a lot of (my personal) money. Having these bumper cars would be a HUGE incentive. At the end of the day, students would be allowed to ride these in the open gymnasium. Many of my students do not have scooters or bikes, let alone bumper cars. So, they would be very excited and feel very special riding these!
