Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever been bullied? Think of the tremendous stress, fear, and damage it did to your self-esteem. But let's face it, bullying is a reality in every school. The best way to combat bullying is by educating students on how to appropriately react in different situations.

My students live in the inner city where poverty, gang violence, and high school drop out rates are prevalent.

My students attend a Title I school and they all qualify for free or reduced lunch. My students lack educational support at home, but despite all these hardships they attend school with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn daily.

My Project

I am requesting "Bullying in Schools" and a collection of other anti-bullying literature. These materials will be used to combat bullying in the classrooms through read-aloud and discussions. The markers will be used to keep students engaged in activities during and after discussions. The at-your-seats storage sacks will be used so students can keep their bullying books close at hand so they can read and journal different strategies to combat bullying.

Please help me provide a safe learning environment for my students.

With the use of these materials, I will be able to equip students with the necessary strategies to combat bullies in the classroom and on the playground.
