Bullies Don't Bother Me!

My students need bullying literature, such as "Chester Raccoon and the Big Bad Bully" to explore what bullying is and how they can fix it. They also need a set of literacy centers and a sight-word kit.

My Students

"Mrs. Stanford, Jimmy told me he won't be my friend until I give him my snack." With problems like this occurring, I believe that character education is a crucial thing in kindergarten.

My kindergarten students attend an urban charter school which is in its first year and lacking supplies.

My 17 students are eager to learn and enjoy every minute of their time here at school. I would love to supply them with as much enrichment as possible.

My Project

Studies show that there is a 30-million-word deficit in young students who come from high poverty areas. The bullying literature and centers will be used to help bridge this gap. My students will not only be learning about character development, but will be building literacy skills! Any step to bridge this gap is a step in the right direction! Will you help?
