My Students

Have you ever felt alone? Like you are the only one in a group of people that was being bullied or left out? Sometimes student feel the same way and cannot work through to help themselves. With this bully proof system they will be able to do just that!

My Kindergarten students attend a urban charter school which is very sparse with its supplies.

At the beginning of the year we are supplied with a hook for each child, four tables, and 18 student chairs. Just enough to have 18 students sit at their tables, yet nothing more. My students are eager to learn and I would love to supply them with as much enrichment as possible.

My Project

Children at any age, especially Kindergartners, need facilitated social interaction to prepare them with much needed social skills for their future. Studies show that many classrooms are not preparing our children for our world today. Our current work world is socially based, where men and women must work together to create life changing inventions, cures, and action plans. The building materials I am requesting, such as: blocks, logs, pipes, and so forth, will foster this need in my students. They will also give my students the opportunity to work with others by collaborating on ideas, taking turns, and creating something out of scratch.

I believe that there is no time too early to teach students how to work together creatively, to create something that is wonderful and much better than any one person could do themselves.

If all students could learn this life lesson at such a young age, could you imagine how the world would change? Well let's make that change in my students' lives!
