My Project

I work in first grade at a Title One school. Our scholars work so very hard to learn to read, write, and much more. I am so proud of how hard they work every single day. In the few months they have been in first grade so far, they have blown me away with how much progress they have made in their letter-sound recognition, phonemic awareness, phonics, and handwriting! These materials I am requesting will help us get started with building literacy stations to better help them engage in phonic activities. It will help advance their learning and allow them to work independently, with peers, and with other teachers in our space. It will help them learn and allow me to gain informal assessments on how to help them better. I have also included some books to read with small groups during our literacy center time.
