Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We will utilize the materials in this project to draft and create three dimensional creations. Students will be challenged to implement the math they learn in class to engineer structures providing them a hands on experience where they can make math-to-life connections. The cardboard will be the primary medium for these stem activities. Students will learn joining techniques with cardboard that will not require the use of glue or tape. Through the year, students will be given mini lessons on joining cardboard in small scale creations, which will build up to group designed structures in the third trimester. The pencils and markers will be used to draft, mark and outline their designs on the cardboard.
