This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students learn best by doing not only in Art but with all subjects! A hands-on experience can improve a child's education by tactile learning and sensory stimulation. Each opportunity to connect with community through culture enhances their view and understanding of the world. Mindfulness, problem-solving and general well-being are all components of working together to accomplish a shared goal.

Using visual and auditory skills while problem-solving adds a sophisticated layer to their shared learning experience.

Children are naturally adept at setting goals and striving for success if given the right parameters and opportunities to succeed. By shaping the classroom with a therapeutic approach, each learner is responsible for not only themselves but the members of our studio cohort. A balanced approach to education adds harmony to the classroom and play becomes an integral part of the process. Knowledge is not only built but retained when different learning modalities are part of the education scholars receive and is evident in exciting projects and activities presented in their classroom studio.
