My Students

Most of my students come from a low -income family. They are are not expose to many

What I love the most about my students is that they try their hardest to make me proud.

One student said “I am sorry Ms. Pryor but I don’t have a computer at home to get on iReady, so I asked my mom to take me to the library but she said it was way too far!” I encourage my students to get on iReady at home daily for practice but most students does not have access to a computer at home. While in school they have to try to get at least 45 minutes math and reading during school hours with limited computers.

My Project

As educators, we know the importance of utilizing money and applying the best tools to make that can make a huge impact in students learning . Our classroom will utilize the Chromebooks to complete district mandated iReady lessons during math and reading instruction.

Having the Chromebooks and Money Kit will help my students to practice counting money which will enhance their understanding as they move up to the next grade level.

With your donation, my students will be able to focus on the academic materials at hand. They will apply money using technology daily to increase their understanding on how to earn, save and spend money to build up financial literacy in primary grade.
