This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm writing to propose a DonorsChoose project to purchase 6 new volleyballs for our elementary and middle school volleyball program and physical education classes. This equipment would greatly enrich our students' learning experience.

The new volleyballs would allow for more students to actively participate in lessons and practice drills during PE volleyball units.

With our current shortage of equipment, students must take turns rather than all engage simultaneously. More volleyballs mean more touches, hits, sets, bumps, and quality practice for every student!

Additionally, our fledgling elementary and middle school volleyball teams would benefit tremendously from dedicated practice balls for scrimmages and games. Players would no longer need to chase down errant balls from other courts or other sports. This would optimize our limited practice time.

My goal is to nurture our students’ passion for volleyball and fitness through high-quality equipment. All students deserve to feel fully supported in their athletic endeavors. New volleyballs would eliminate equipment limitations so our kids can simply play. Seeing them thrive would be incredibly rewarding.

These students bring infectious energy and unbridled enthusiasm to PE and volleyball. Their dedication and teamwork are admirable. But the potential is still untapped. New volleyballs would give them the tools to reach new levels of play, fitness and collaboration.
