My Project

Our second-grade classroom is working diligently to grow in math fluency, strengthen phonics skills, and proficiently show our thinking and prove our answers. In our daily routine, we regularly utilize whiteboards and markers to record thoughts and solve problems.

A large portion of my school-allotted funds each year provides students with whiteboards, erasers, and short-lasting dry-erase markers…Boogie Boards would eliminate this draining purchase and benefit students in our classroom in multiple ways.

The markers and erasers we currently use need to be replaced bi-annually, at minimum. So, I often spend a considerable amount of personal funds replacing these materials. Not to mention, these frequently used learning aids (boards, erasers, and markers) cannot be feasibly stored in student desks due to limited space and the number of pieces.

Fortunately, these durable Boogie Boards are the solution to many logistical obstacles in our classroom. They can be stored in student desks due to their size and are readily accessible for use in all content areas. These boards are highly recommended by a plethora of teachers due to the longevity of these tools. Several teachers I know personally have used them for multiple years, and praise the durability as well as their huge convenience in daily instruction.

Our students need quick access and frequent opportunities to write their thoughts and solve problems in any subject. These boards simplify classroom management and simultaneously maximize learning experiences for all students (and students for years to come!) Please help our class to minimize paper waste, use digital technology with intention, and have the chance to write, think, and erase at a moment’s notice!
