Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are still struggling post-pandemic. They still have a lot of anxiety about getting back into their daily routine. COVID has forever changed their lives. To help them transition, I like to practice daily mindfulness activities with them to help ease their anxiety and help get them grounded for their day.

Having fidgets available helped relieve their anxiety last school year.

I found that having fidgets available to them, helped relieve their stress throughout the day. I would like to continue that for this school year.

I would like to make this school year less stressful and anxiety filled for them by offering them tools to cope and activities in the classroom to get them started off on the right foot each day.
