My Project

Inspiring Young Readers with Hands-On Learning

I teach an amazing group of first graders who are eager to learn and grow as readers.

They come to school each day with curiosity and enthusiasm, ready to take on new challenges. Many of my students are building foundational literacy skills, and I want to provide them with the best tools to support their reading journey.

The hand2mind Desktop Magnetic Sound Wall Boards will be a game-changer in our classroom. These interactive tools will help my students develop phonemic awareness, strengthen their understanding of letter sounds, and apply phonics skills in an engaging, hands-on way. By visually and physically manipulating sounds, students will build stronger connections between spoken and written language, an essential step in learning to read.

My goal for this project is to create a literacy-rich environment where all students feel confident and successful in their reading. These sound wall boards align with the Science of Reading, making learning more accessible, especially for struggling readers and English language learners.

My students are special because they are resilient, hardworking, and excited about learning. With your support, I can give them the resources they need to develop strong reading skills and a lifelong love for literacy. Thank you for helping make a difference in their education!
