My Students

Ninety eight percent of the students in my school are on free and reduced-priced lunch. Our Title I school is is populated with almost 350 students. Our students need motivation throughout the year. Students who exhibit positive lifelong habits such as reading makes my heart skip a beat.

My students are fun-loving and eager to learn.

Once they enter our doors, they become our future. They are curious and fearless all at the same time. We are learning this school year virtually. It is key that they continue read and show comprehension.

My Project

We need these books to create better little readers for today and better-prepared students of tomorrow. The collection in the school library is geared towards older students and we need materials to reach the educational goals of the younger students. I will use these books to connect library lessons to classroom lessons.

I want teach younger readers how to care for a book using these small board books.

They need to learn to turn pages carefully. They also need to learn to keep their books clean and neat. These books will aid in teaching book care before handling paperback books. These books would give the students access to engage and inspire new learning.
