My Students

My students are self motivated thinkers and innovators with diverse needs who are making a difference in the world. They are inclusive and work together as a team to achieve both personal and group goals. They utilize each other's strengths while working to improve each other's weaknesses. Our students celebrate the good and the not so good. They are optimists. They are problem solvers. They are risk takers. They are leaders. Our students make us a true community of learners.

My Project

In order to increase STEM learning at our school, a few teachers got together and have been planning the launch of a robotics club which will begin in January of 2018 (pending funding for the supplies through this project). These materials will allow students in the club to start at the beginning levels of programming and engineering by allowing them to first build their robot and then program it.

Through collaboration, team work, and guidance, students will create robots and program them to do different things helping them to prepare for robotics teams in the future.

Everyone needs to start somewhere, and these robot kits will give our students the starting point that they need to begin their journey in robotics.
