My Project

This project seeks to enhance the effectiveness of my role as a school social worker by providing essential resources to support the emotional, mental, and social development for my students. By integrating modern tools and materials into the social work program, I strive to better address the diverse needs of students and create a more inclusive, responsive, and supportive environment for all.

Sensory materials are crucial in helping students manage emotional regulation, reduce disruptive behaviors, and improve focus by providing calming outlets and promoting self-regulation, ultimately creating a more positive and productive learning environment.

A rolling organization cart for easy storage and mobility of sensory tools, alongside a versatile standing teacher desk to promote an active and adaptable teaching environment. The iPad will provide students with the opportunity to engage in interactive lessons, mindfulness activities, and coping mechanisms tailored to their specific emotional needs. School supplies such as gel pens, sticky notes, and markers play a crucial role in supporting social-emotional learning by providing students with the tools they need to express themselves. A wall clock in the classroom helps students manage their time effectively, fostering a sense of responsibility and enabling smooth transitions between activities throughout the day. The board games and books are essential for social-emotional learning as they create opportunities for students to practice teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and empathy in a fun, supportive environment.

With these resources, I am able to better prepare my students by promoting a healthier, more engaged classroom environment.
