Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are special because they are full of life, hope, and curiosity. They are happy and energetic despite the area they live in. The neighborhood and school are in a low social economic area. The city doesn't provide many resources for the community, so my students are grateful for anything exciting or new that they experience.

These sixth graders are caring and independent.

Throughout the day they help each other out. They work well independently and in cooperative groups.

My Project

Providing thinking tools for students is essential to students learning. With the reading and writing strategies book it will give students access to reading and writing strategies that will increase their learning in all academic areas. My students have different needs when it come to reading comprehension and writing. The books are filled with hundreds of strategies that will help my students' individual needs.

Learning many times is individualized.

With phonics and getting the main idea resources, my student will be able to work on these skills individually while I work with a small group of students. All the resources will help my manage, so that I can help with each individual students needs.
