Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me continue building our classroom library. The novels and graphic novels I have requested will help build my students literacy. The school that I work at, currently has their small library closed due to lack of funds. However I believe it's important to instill in my students the joy of reading. My students come from immigrant families who are new to the country.

Some of the students have low literacy levels in English and in their home language.

By supplying my students with novels in their home language they'll be able to transfer these skills into learning English. And the graphic novels will help to challenge them especially since they can use the images as an aid to help them understand the stories.
