My Students

My students are curious about the world that is ahead of them. They are constantly asking questions and often finding their own answers. For most of my students, it is their first time in middle school. In this new school, they are navigating their way through the halls and through the characteristics of the people they want to be. This is a time in their lives where their responsibilities, expectations, and goals are changing along with them. I would like to supply my classroom with books that are age-appropriate and with main characters that are going through some of the same challenges and choices my students are.

My Project

Each book that has been selected was hand-picked by me. It is my goal with this project to help strengthen reading and understanding throughout my classroom and throughout my student's lives.

Each student and person comes from a different background, culture, and understanding of the world.

With the books that are listed, it is my plan to make sure that students are compassionate toward the different points-of-view. I want students to see that underneath the weight that we all carry we are just people trying our best. Thank you for viewing this project and thank you for helping my students today become the leaders of tomorrow.
