Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school consists of students who love to learn by doing. They consistently request hands-on activities and projects to work on. They enjoy working collaboratively as much as possible, and sharing their work with their parents, other teachers, and our administration.

Our students enjoy using technology to help them learn, they love to be challenged, and thrive when given the chance to use what they are learning to solve real world problems.

My Project

During this difficult school year, we had the opportunity to begin exploring Lego robotics using FIRST LEGO League and SPIKE Prime. My students became excited to come to school, and motivated to complete the difficult tasks associated with building and programming robots.

Please help me grow this opportunity to reach all the students in my school, especially those returning to in person learning.

Using robotics to complete engaging, real world problems has helped my students take ownership over their learning and become more willing to take risks to achieve their goals.
