Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are building our computer science program here at LWGS with the goal to have more of our students enroll in technology programs to fill the gaps in different IT and technology careers. We have such a wide range of diversity at our school that we are hoping these students can grow their tech skills and build diversity into various companies around the world. With these supplies we can ensure that our computer cart just donated always has a few extra and charged computers for class. Headphones will allow our students to participate individually in Zoom and Team meetings with various community partners and volunteers that tune in to help our students with their computer science work. We hope to continue to build our resources available to our students so that we have the tools necessary to build this program, challenge them and prepare them for post secondary education and careers.
