Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have enjoyed reading books our in class library but as good readers they need to make connections to motivate them to explore more genres. One of the best ways to do so is to have books in the classroom that reflect who they are, where they come from, and what they can become!

Help my students make self-to-text connections within the stories of different cultures and traditions.

A rich library filled with student-selected books creates amazing readers. These books can help enhance our celebration of the many cultures and ethnicities in our school. I hope to grow our classroom library with a mosaic of books for students to enjoy!
