Help me give my students the opportunity to create 4D models of eukaryotic cells! I teach them cell parts but what a greater experience when they’re able to create a working cell model themselves!

My Students
My students are budding, impressionable, and deserving future scientists taking Biology I College Prep, Biology I Honors, and/or Chemistry I Honors at a Title I high school. Biology I is one of their four core classes with standardized testing. Being in a classroom that's prepared to provide them with what they need is crucial.
Having a functional, comfortable, safe classroom, equipped with all of the things needed to be a proficient new learner in the world of biology and chemistry, is essential for these kiddos to succeed.
My Project
As part of their Biology 1 standards in South Carolina, students should be able to identify cell parts by name, their function and the role they play as part of our “cell city” in order to fully understand how our cells function. We don’t always get the chance at our Title 1 school to do fun & creative hands on activities with NEW supplies in the lab. Most lab supplies I buy out of pocket. Which can often lead to not enough for everyone & even foregoing working with our hands for something digital instead (which is never bad). However, Biology 1 student’s favorite thing to do is to be in the lab (and it’s my fave, too). It would mean so much to them if we got the chance to do at least one fun big project during this crazy Covid year. It would mean even more to me if I’m able to afford them that chance. Thank you for your consideration & support! ❤️
