Help Mrs. Watson

I currently work in a low income school a with a large population of high needs students.

My students continue to struggle with reading basics, although they are expected to be reading and comprehending on a third grade level. I often lack the time and materials to go back and fill in the holes necessary to build these students into accomplished readers.

Since I can't really do much about the time aspect, it's necessary to get materials that will reach and help these students to become more successful. I need to use the read and check sliders and tricky words/phrases to build students' vocabulary. The lack of a strong vocabulary background is one issue that persists throughout our school. Students also need daily practice with many skills which can be provided by the skills books.

Please be the one that helps change my students' continued struggle with reading. They want to learn, but the frustration is hindering their success. I know they can do it, please show us that you do too!!
