My Project

Number sense is one of the foundational building blocks to understanding math. It promotes confidence in students by strengthening their math skills and helping young learners develop a stronger relationship with math while promoting math as a language.

I want to create a fun and interactive learning environment for math in my classroom, where students can learn through hands on activities and experiences and I am able to meet each student's individual needs.

I am fortunate enough to have opened a third first grade classroom to our ever growing school. With that being said, I am borrowing learning resources and manipulatives from partner teachers without having a classroom set of my own.

The place value dice, the ten-frame answer boards, and the number bonds answer boards that I have selected will allow my students to strengthen their number sense skills. We will be able to hold small group math stations as well as have enough resources for whole group lessons. These learning resources will be a huge asset to the classroom and will help my sweet kiddos be excited about math.

Along with the learning resources, Teachers Pay Teachers offers a huge variety of games to utilize our new tools. With your help, we can make math fun again!
