My Project

The teenage years are a critical time for emotional and psychological development. By providing our students with the tools and support they need, we can help them navigate these challenging years with greater resilience and confidence. Your donation will directly impact their well-being and academic success, helping them to better manage stress, build healthy relationships, and cultivate a positive mindset.

Emotions shape our memories and perspectives with which we approach future challenges, setbacks, and successes. Students who find ways to become more grounded and accepting of themselves in their emotions are likely to maintain optimism regardless of circumstances outside their control.

Students will use the games as resources to engage in social-skill-building activities and discussions which encourage them to actively listen when others share so as to reciprocate by being heard when they speak. The art supplies and Newton's Cradle will encourage students to take mindfulness breaks to reduce the anxiety they may experience during the school day. The posters and pillows are gentle reminders to reframe thinking. Collectively this package of resources will aim to address the roller coaster of emotions as a manageable part of the teenage experience.
