This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me provide my enthusiastic mathematicians two sets of KP Ten-Frame Tiles. First grade students learn best when they work with concrete tools. When they use learning tools they feel like they are playing while they learn. The tiles will give the students the opportunity to strengthen their number sense and discover the relationships between number operations.

By using the KP Ten-Frame Tiles they will be able to represent numbers and operations while developing a deep understanding of the base ten system.

Being able to build numbers, seeing how the numbers are built, will improve their math fact fluency, flexibility, and problem solving skills.
