My Project

These books will enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create. My classroom library is a place that my students enjoy. It is a space where I read to them, where they read independently, and where they have the opportunity to complete work. Every book in my library is treated with love and care, and my students are thankful for the opportunities to read.

Years later, the pandemic has heavily impacted reading comprehension for this group of students, directly affecting math literacy.

These books have been chosen to help students make connections with math, build general problem-solving skills, and logical reasoning. Many of these books can be easily incorporated into the beginning of a lesson, however, some are chapter books students can read independently. All of these books will give students more exposure to reading, a win-win in any classroom!
