My Students

Do you want someone to build a bridge or do construction on your house if they have never had experience building and manipulating materials? Of course not! I want to give my elementary students the opportunity to read and follow directions and diagrams to build and construct houses, bridges, etc.

I teach first through fifth grade gifted students at a public school in Georgia.

They are so enthusiastic about learning. My students are very inquisitive and love to learn and explore. My students really enjoy hands-on learning and project based learning. They love having their hands involved in their learning!

My Project

All of the materials I am requesting will enhance learning in S.T.E.M.( Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). I am requesting Science Action Labs: Electricity & Magnetism Kit,Lincoln Logs, Solar Powered Robot Kits, and Magnetic building links and marbles. I am also requesting games for all grades like Make 24 Addition/Subtraction, Make 24 Multiply/Divide, and Make 24 Double Digits. These items will give my students the opportunity to build and manipulate and get an early start at problem solving and building.

These materials will give my students the opportunity to learn how engineers design and construct different structures.

It will help them at an early age understand Newton's 3rd Law - for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. The math games will reinforce problem solving skills along with basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
