Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a small school with a big heart. My students are enthusiastic and love learning. They wear many hats throughout the day as mathematicians, readers, storytellers, anthropologists, and scientists. They love to collaborate while exploring hands on projects and solving real world problems.

My students come to school every day eager to learn and full of curiosity.

They are thirsty for knowledge and are always asking questions. It is my goal to quench that thirst with fun, creative, and enriching learning activities that support their development.

My Project

These tools will be used in the classroom to help teach students strategies for organization so that they can always find what they need to learn! Color coded plastic folders with prongs will ensure that students can quickly identify what they need when they need it! Using composition notebooks with grid pages in mathematics will make the foundations of multiplication, division, fractions and measurement that much easier! 3-ring pencil cases are compact and durable and they are the perfect resource for students to house a variety of writing tools as they transition around the classroom from activity to activity.

In 3rd grade students begin to building independence and take more ownership for their learning.

These tools will be used to help students set up systems and develop strategies to support their independence. These are skills that will set the foundation for all future learning.
