Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Teaching students about STEM is tough, especially for children. However, an awareness of STEM, creative thinking and problem solving is key to students and their academic success. Where I teach, most of my students come from tough backgrounds and have been through a lot of testing situations. School and their education, never really come first. Learning to them can seem meaningless, when they need to focus on surviving. I want to be able to make learning fun and have them create what they learn.

The LEGOs, outside toys, and a 3D printer from this project will allow my students to be hands-on in their learning of STEM.

These items will be utilized to grow their imaginations in hands-on and imaginative learning. They will be able to widen their creativity lenses.

My students will use these resources to be able to see their ideas created and made in real life. Sometimes, they can lose a sense of hope when they don't see results. However, with these items in this project, that sense of hope will return, and they can believe in learning once again.
