My Project

I am creating book buddy bins to put in my independent reading center. Stuffed animals or characters (book buddies) will be in a bin with books related to the book buddy. Students will be able read to their book buddy while in the independent reading area. They will also be able to take Accelerated Reader (AR) tests on these books as well.

Many students come to us claiming they hate reading or cannot read.

I want to change that and make reading fun. It is proven that students who read for enjoyment have better success in school. These books will also be used during other independent centers that go along with these books and book buddies.
