Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Learning to read requires many facets. Students need to be able to hear a sound and know the letter that corresponds to it. However, my students are struggling readers with gaps in their foundational reading skills.

My students can fill the phonemic awareness gaps with the Bridge the Gap book and Grapheme cards.

The Bridge the Gap book includes lessons that I can use for my students in second grade and above who need gaps filled in their reading foundation. The grapheme cards visually represent the letters, which will help my students to have a picture to go with the letters.
