My Project

First-grade students are at a critical stage of development, where building fine motor skills and mastering color recognition are essential for future academic success. This project aims to provide each student in my class with a set of high-quality, "chubby" crayons. These larger, easier-to-grip crayons are specifically designed to support young children's developing fine motor skills, allowing them to practice controlled movements and strengthen their hand muscles. Furthermore, these crayons will be integral to our color learning activities, fostering creativity and visual discrimination.

Many of my students enter first grade with varying levels of fine motor skill development.

Standard, thin crayons can be difficult for small hands to manipulate, leading to frustration and hindering their ability to engage in drawing and coloring activities. "Chubby" crayons offer a more accessible and comfortable tool, promoting a positive learning experience. Additionally, a consistent supply of vibrant, durable crayons is crucial for our color-focused lessons, ensuring all students have the materials they need to participate fully.
