Building Financial Skills With an iPad

Help me give my students an iPad and a smart case so that my students can use technology in both whole-class and small-group discussions to learn basic financial literacy skills.

My Project

I teach an incredible group of 3rd graders who are curious, hardworking, and eager to learn. They love exploring new concepts, engaging in hands-on activities, and using technology to deepen their understanding. My students come from diverse backgrounds, and many do not have access to technology at home. Despite their challenges, they come to school every day excited to learn and grow. I am requesting an iPad and a Smart Case to enhance learning in our classroom. This technology will provide my students with interactive learning experiences, support differentiated instruction, and make lessons more engaging. With an iPad, my students will be able to practice essential skills in math and reading, explore educational apps, and collaborate on projects. It will also be used for research, creative storytelling, and financial literacy lessons—helping students understand real-world money management through engaging activities.

The Smart Case will protect the iPad, ensuring that it remains a long-lasting learning tool for my students.

My Goals:

Integrate technology into daily lessons to enhance student engagement and understanding.

Provide interactive, hands-on learning experiences tailored to each student’s needs.

Teach financial literacy skills in a fun and meaningful way using digital resources.

Encourage creativity and collaboration through digital storytelling and research projects.

My students are bright, eager learners who deserve access to the best educational tools available. Technology is a crucial part of today’s world, and having an iPad in our classroom will allow my students to develop essential skills that will benefit them for years to come.
