Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are resilient and wake up each day ready to conquer the hardships that they are faced with in their environment, including poverty, solicitation, and gang and drug violence.

My scholars arrive to school to experience a safe haven and as their School Psychiatric Social Worker, I whole-heartedly believe that it is my job to help build that space for them.

The materials that I am requesting will promote diversity, inclusion, self-awareness, and collaboration to build mental health connection with my students. These materials are pertinent in enhancing their social emotional well-being and safety.
