This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class is excited to learn more about one another’s families, friends, and lives as part of our effort to build a stronger classroom community. To support this goal, I am creating a project that allows students to share their personal stories in a more meaningful and professional way—by learning to type and publish their writing.

By integrating technology into our writing process, students will not only develop their narrative writing skills, but also gain valuable experience using digital tools, such as the MacBook Air 13.6" that will prepare them for the demands of the 21st Century, including college and career readiness.

Having access to a MacBook Air 13.6" laptop will provide students with the opportunity to practice typing, organize their thoughts, revise and edit their work, and ultimately produce polished pieces they can be proud to share. This project blends literacy, digital learning, and community building into one powerful learning experience.

This project will not only allow my students a chance to share their stories—it will empower them to create meaningful presentations that document their childhood experiences. By using a MacBook Air 13.6" laptop, my students will be able to capture and preserve their special moments through writing, typing, and digital storytelling.

Through this project, students will develop their narrative writing and typing skills, build confidence in public speaking and presentation, and learn to organize and express their ideas using technology. These skills are essential for both their academic success and their personal growth.

This project is about more than just writing—it’s about giving students the tools to reflect on who they are, where they come from, and how they want to share their voice with the world.
