My Project

My students are smart, curious, hilarious and competitive. Our school is a 6-12 school with at least 40% of the student population from low-income families from varied backgrounds. This project includes a Cricut, Easy Press, puppets and other resources for them to use with mentorship, cultural exchanges, effective arguments, and strategy games to:

-Promote understanding and appreciation of different cultures, socioeconomic backgrounds by providing a space for students to learn about diverse traditions, practices, and perspectives, often through events, activities, and discussions, while fostering a sense of community and belonging among individuals from various backgrounds.

-Facilitate the personal and professional growth of students by providing guidance, support, and knowledge transfer from experienced from adults, older student mentors as mentors to and student mentees via buddy program

-Provide a space for students to develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills by actively engaging in structured arguments on various topics via a debate program.
