Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students I work with come from a variety of backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses. The classes I work with serve students with moderate to severe disabilities ranging from Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Opposition Defiant Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities, and Speech and Language Impairment. In order to engage my students I need to have creative lessons that are tied to standards, but also that are motivating. Please help me continue to provide a fun way for students to learn and grow!

My Project

The materials I am requesting will help my students work on their functional communication skills, while they use imaginative play to build their own creations.

When working together and problem solving, students help strengthen their social communication skills.

The gears, puzzle, and magnetic blocks will help my students work on the key pragmatic communication skills, while having fun at the same time! Providing hand on learning opportunities makes learning more meaningful for my students. Please partner with me, by supporting and sharing my project. I can't wait to see my students' communication develop as they have fun constructing. Thank you for your support!
