My Project

I am requesting flexible seating, puzzles and multiplication games to create an engaging classroom community. Building community is important to both the academic and social-emotional growth of my students. They love opportunities to work and learn together through activities such as math games, reading buddies and free-choice centers.

Providing opportunities for self-selection in seating and activities gives students a chance to become leaders of their own learning and builds student agency.

Having learning opportunities that students can work together to accomplish helps build communication skills and fosters a stronger sense of community. Seeing them work collaboratively to put together a puzzle and celebrate their success highlights the sense of community and team-building that will serve them well as future leaders!
