My Project

Creating a comfortable environment in the classroom is essential for student success and well-being which is why I want to begin to build a safe place in my classroom for my students. This safe space will allow students to be able to decompress, relax, and be a place to go for independent reading. When students feel at ease, they are more likely to engage actively in lessons, ask questions, and express themselves freely, which fosters better learning outcomes.

Comfort goes beyond just physical space; it includes emotional and psychological safety, where students feel respected and valued.

This positive environment encourages collaboration, reduces anxiety, and boosts confidence, which motivates students to complete their work. This rug will be one of the first steps in creating that space, it will be used in the classroom library area where students will be able to go to work, read, and take a break when needed.
